Virtual On-Line Course:
These courses are run using the Zoom platform as an interactive course just as our live courses would be. We have had great feedback over the last year from delegates on these courses.

Overview:
This course will introduce you to the key fundamentals of achieving a carbon net zero organisation and is aimed at organisations that are at the beginning of their carbon net zero journey, or organisations that would like to start calculating and managing their emissions in-house.

The one-day programme addresses the key elements of:
  • Understanding the carbon jargon
  • Understand why carbon reduction for businesses is important and why it’s not going away
  • Work out what you need to do to meet your stakeholder requirements
  • Monitor, measure, document and report on what you are doing to reduce your carbon emissions
  • Set objectives, targets and action planning
  • Implementing a Carbon Reduction Initiative

All businesses should start calculating their own carbon footprints and start making the necessary improvements to reduce their emissions; many large organisations are now required to do so through the Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) requirements and procurement requirements. It is vital that all businesses reduce their carbon emissions through changing behaviours, engaging in low carbon activities, and start choosing low carbon technologies or products – and it makes great business sense to do so, especially as many low carbon activities come with significant cost savings and favourable payback periods.

The course is essential for those who are directly involved in delivering an organisation’s environmental and sustainability responsibilities.

Who should attend?
  • Anyone that has been tasked with carbon reduction, reporting, data submission or project management.
  • Environmental and HSE Managers
  • Facilities Managers or Operations Managers
  • Finance or Procurement Managers

On completion of the course, attendees will:
  • Understand the jargon and drivers related to carbon net zero
  • Be able to analyse the data you have to produce a carbon footprint report
  • Be better able to demonstrate your organisation’s commitment to climate action
  • Put a plan in place for carbon reduction
  • Improve your organisation’s ability to respond to stakeholder enquiries on carbon reduction
Extra Information
Carbon Neutral
Climate change is one of the biggest challenges we face today. It is a global crisis that requires urgent action. One of the ways that organizations can contribute to reducing their carbon footprint is by becoming carbon neutral. However, assessing the effectiveness of an organization's carbon neutral initiatives can be a challenging task. In this article, we will provide a step-by-step guide to help evaluate carbon neutral organizations.
