Overview
This course provides delegates with a thorough awareness of health
& safety and how this interconnects with the day-to-day activities in the
workplace. The course will start by looking back to a time without health and
safety moving through to the current challenges we face today. The trainer will
set out clearly the legal responsibilities of all parties and explore through
discussion with delegates the practical application of these.
The course will explore the common
hazards found in the workplace across many sectors. We look at how risk
controls can be used to eliminate, reduce, prevent or minimise risk. We will
also explain how health & safety controls need to be integrated into an
organisation’s core management processes for them to be effective.
History is littered with
incidents, through case studies and interactive sessions we will give delegates
an understanding of the past with an aim of them preventing injury and ill
health in the future.
On completion of the course, attendees will:
·
Understand their legal responsibilities and accountabilities for
health & safety

workplace
