Overview This course will concentrate on providing an integrated
approach to those topics that are most fundamental to understanding the impact
of the Machinery Directive and the UK Regulations that apply to the making
available and acquiring of work equipment.
As a result of demand on this topic,
the course gives more attention to the changes and what they mean to the
provider and user of machinery that falls within the remit of the “New
Machinery Directive” and the UK Supply of Machinery [Safety] Regulations.
In addition, the course will consider UK legislation and it’s interaction, in
particular HSWA Section 6, Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations, Provision
and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) and Lifting Operations and
Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER). The aim is to emphasise the
practical aspects and implications of these laws.

This is a one day course intended for Workshop and Factory Managers, Line Managers, Health & Safety Managers, Plant Maintenance Managers, and any person who has a responsibility for specifying, purchasing, maintenance and disposal of work equipment – including those appointed as insolvency managers.
