Continuing professional development (CPD)

The IOSH Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme requires its members to complete a minimum of 30 hours of activities per year, recorded through an online tool. The programme includes formal training, seminars, conferences, workshops, e-learning, and self-directed learning. Members can choose from IOSH and external courses such as those run by EBIS. The CPD cycle consists of four stages: plan, do, reflect, and record. Members are encouraged to plan their CPD activities based on their professional development needs, complete them, reflect on what they have learned, and record their activities. The online record provides a summary of CPD activities, which can be used to demonstrate professional development to employers or regulators.
