Management System Representatives and any Manager with environmental responsibilities will find this to be an invaluable one-day update.
On completion of the course, attendees will:

- Have a view of upcoming changes in the regulatory landscape.
The main topics and anticipated programme timings are detailed below. Note, some amendments may be made in advance of the seminar, to ensure that the agenda is as current and forward-looking as possible.
Important Acts – what they mean and where they are up to:
A key new Act – the Retained EU Law Act
The Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Act 2023 eventually passed through both houses and received Royal Assent on 29 June 2023, but it didn’t have an easy ride and looks significantly different now from what was originally proposed.
Find out what got through and what didn’t, and what it means for the UK’s future legislative landscape.
What has been happening under the Environment Act?
Since 2021 the Environment Act has been the UK’s framework of environmental protection, plugging the gap that appeared when we left Europe and lost our direction from Brussels. Constantly progressing, we now have the Environmental Improvement Programme, or ‘EIP ‘23’. You’ll get the latest information on what it is, the latest Environmental Targets, their implementation and progress.
